Onyx, in collaboration with OKSI, participated in the International Special Operations Forces (ISOF) Lethality Week that took place at the Nevada Test and Training Range.
Organized by the Program Management Office for SOF Lethality, in cooperation with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Innovation and Modernization office, this annual event focuses on assessing innovative technologies that address lethality gaps and inform future special operations forces (SOF) requirements.
The event attendees came from all USSOCOM components, federal law enforcement special units, inter-agency special units, federal RDT&E Agencies, combat developers from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, and allied partner nations.
During the test event at the range, Onyx demonstrated its SENTRY, a remote intelligent tactical sentry system.

SENTRY is a multi-functional intelligent sentry platform for the modern battlefield, providing automated target detection and recognition while keeping operators in the loop.
Developed in partnership with OKSI, the integrated system combines Onyx's X360 gimbal, RAW (Remote Actuated Weapon), and OKSI's AI-enabled Digital Imaging System (DIS) for maximum operational impact. SENTRY is fully integrated with ATAK and is MANET (Mobile Adhoc Network) capable.
The system leverages Digital Imaging System with Autonomous Target Detection and Recognition (ATD/ATR) allowing it to autonomously scan, detect, classify, track, and report any threat for fast and effective tactical action. It may be deployed in an overwatch or terrain denial position to protect friendly forces in the heat of battle.
Onyx’s RAW is a modular remote actuated lower receiver capable of accepting most conventional upper receivers. It is capable of mounting to static or dynamic ground, air, and maritime platforms. Designed to provide a durable, versatile, and intelligent solution for an operator-controlled remote kinetic action, RAW is built to withstand aggressive vibration and shock in austere conditions to ensure maximum operational effectiveness.
