Onyx, in collaboration with OKSI, a leader in the creation and implementation of imaging EO/IR systems for military, ground, air, and space-based applications for the United States, will be conducting a live demonstration of its SENTRY - a multi-functional intelligent remote weapon system to a Special Operations customer that will take place during the first week of August 2023, in Texas.
This demo event will focus on the integration of the Persistent Systems RDC as a tactile controller while using MPU5s for the communications layer. During the event, SENTRY will be shooting upwards of 1000 rounds to test durability while using HUXWRX FLOW 5.56 to keep the system clean and reliable in an austere desert environment.
SENTRY is an intelligent remote weapon system designed to be a force multiplier. Developed in partnership with OKSI, SENTRY combines Onyx's X360 gimbal, RAW (Remote Actuated Weapon), and OKSI's AI-enabled Digital Imaging System (DIS) for maximum operational impact. This intelligent system is fully integrated with ATAK and is Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) capable.
Its Digital Imaging System with Autonomous Target Detection and Recognition (ATD/ATR) autonomously scans, detects, classifies, tracks, and reports any threat for fast and effective tactical action. It may be deployed in an overwatch or terrain denial position to protect friendly forces in the heat of battle.
